1. Petřín Tower
To witness Prague’s stunning skyline from above, head to Petřín Hill. A funicular train takes you to the top of this steep hill, unless you fancy a walk, where you’ll find the Petřín Lookout Tower.
Climb the 299 steps and the views from this Eiffel Tower-inspired structure are simply breathtaking. You’ll see the entire city spread out beneath you, with its red-tiled roofs and the majestic Prague Castle dominating the scene.
With its position on the western side of the Vltava River, you’ll be able to spot landmarks like the Old Town Hall Tower and the Powder Gate in the city centre, as well as the distinctive Žižkov Television Tower far to the east.
2. Prague Castle
Sometimes known as the castle district, Hradčany is home to the large Prague Castle complex which is situated atop a hill that dominates the surrounding cityscape.

5. Vyšehrad

6. Old Town Hall Tower
Despite dating back to the 14th century, the Old Town Hall Tower now has a gently ramped spiral staircase that’s not too strenuous to walk up, so it’s certainly worth making the climb to see the view from the top.
This central location provides a unique perspective of the Old Town Square, surrounded by stunning Gothic and Baroque buildings, and the Týn Church’s distinctive spires.

7. Terasa U Prince
If you’re at the Old Town Square, don’t miss the chance to get a unique view of the Old Town Hall and Astronomical Clock.
Head inside Terasa U Prince and take a lift up to its rooftop bar, where you can relax with a drink while enjoying the sights of Prague’s old town from your vantage point.
You’ll be able to see the crowds gathering by the Astronomical Clock as its famous display goes off each hour.

8. Powder Tower
Prašná brána (Powder Tower) is another iconic medieval structure in Prague, located a short distance to the east of the Old Town Square.
On the site of part of Prague’s old city walls, the tower gained its name because it served as gunpowder storage for some time.
You can visit the tower and climb to the viewing gallery 44 metres above the city for some stunning views across the red rooftops of the city.
9. St Vitus Cathedral
Located on the grounds of the Prague Castle complex, St Vitus Cathedral is one of Prague’s most iconic landmarks.
A standard ticket to the castle will allow you to look around inside the stunning cathedral, but you’ll need a separate ticket to climb up the Great South Tower.
It’s worth it, however, as at nearly 100 metres tall, it’s one of the highest viewpoints in Prague and you’ll be treated to stunning sights of the city skyline. Plus, you’ll be able see the bells of the cathedral at the top of the tower.
10. Old Town Bridge Tower
Marking the eastern end of the iconic Charles Bridge, the Old Town Bridge Tower stands as an entryway to Prague’s Old Town.
The tower is open for visitors to climb up, so make sure not to miss out on the opportunity to sneak away from the crowds that gather around outside it.
From the top of the tower, you’ll be able to get unrivalled views down across the Charles Bridge, so it’s the perfect spot to get a picture without it being obstructed by the many tourists traversing the bridge.
